Brian Grabowski

After working on an ad-hoc and joint venture basis with Retail Rep over several years, Brian Grabowski joined the firm as Partner in 2008.  He focuses on retail tenant and landlord representation, as well as spearheading the firm’s development efforts.  Brian continues work in investment sales for selected clients.

Prior Experience

Brian formed G&S Commercial Properties, LLC in November 2000.  G&S concentrated on retail development in the Carolinas, and third-party retail investment sales services in the Southeast. Brian has participated in the brokerage of 60 shopping centers and two malls since 1992. He also obtained 2,000,000 square feet in property management contracts dealing with owners all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Czech Republic.  The majority of the assets involved were owned by institutions.

Brian joined Property Resources, the largest commercial real estate service provider in Raleigh, in 1993.  In 1997, Property Resources was acquired by CB Richard Ellis.  Brian started his retail career in 1990 with JM Kane & Company as Asset Manager and Broker, specializing in selling shopping centers and the solicitation and negotiation of contracts for the leasing and management of various commercial properties.  Prior to that Brian was with the Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company as Vice President, specializing in office, flex space and land development.  Brian’s responsibilities included the development for the Parkway PUD, the Triangle’s #1 selling home community for four consecutive years.

Education

Brian received his Bachelor degree from the University of Alabama in 1981, summa cum laude, with a major in corporate finance and a minor in advertising.  He received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.

Stan Lisle

    Stan Lisle started Retail Rep in October of 2000. The firm specializes in retail tenant and landlord representation. In April of 2010, Stan sold controlling interest in Retail Rep to his partner, Brian Grabowski. He remains involved with the business, but now resides in Florida.

 

Prior Experience

    Stan Lisle joined The Shopping Center Group of the Carolinas in 1996, opening a Raleigh office for this Atlanta-based retail brokerage. He has primarily been involved in tenant representation of merchants including Costco, Office Depot, AC Moore, Walgreens, CVS/Pharmacy, Eckerds, Media Play, The Mattress Firm, Party City, Old Navy, and JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. He has also been involved with landlord-side work, including the assemblage and re-zoning of a parcel in Cary, NC sold to Circuit City, the re-development of a 90,000 SF shopping center on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh, and representation of several developers, including Cousins Properties and Branch Properties.

    Prior to joining The Shopping Center Group, Stan was with Capital Associates of Cary, NC and was involved in retail brokerage and development. He began his real estate career in 1985 with Trammell Crow Co. in Tampa, Florida, where he was a Marketing Principal, involved in power center and neighborhood center development and leasing.

Education

    Stan received his Bachelor degree from The Ohio State University in 1971, with a major in psychology. He received his MBA from The Ohio State University in 1981, with a major concentration in real estate and finance.

 

Professional Affiliation

    Stan is affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He earned ICSC’s Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation. He holds real estate brokerage licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
